Understanding the
Conscious Score Scale

The Conscious Score Scale is designed to evaluate the transparency and ethical design of apps based on the number and severity of the deceptive pattern variants they contain.

Once the range is determined based on the number of variants, a specific conscious score is calculated. This score takes into account the severity of the deceptive patterns detected within the app. The more severe the patterns, the higher the score within the given range.
